BED, LIGHT & BEYOND is a new & innovative wellness & beauty clinic set up by Holloway twins, Julie & Richard West aimed at bringing affordable Photobiomodulation (Red-Light Therapy) & responsible tanning treatments to their local community. On top of this they’ll be providing various massage therapies, meditation guidance, life coaching & nutrition guidance, as well as other wellness treatments & programs as Bed Light & Beyond grows & develops.

For now, its the Red-Light Therapy that has really captured Julie & Richard's imagination, so Bed Light & Beyond was formed.

Partner Julie West has previously worked extensively in tanning centres & always said that one day she would like to open her own tanning centre. During a conversation about this with her brother Richard in 2023, he told her about this new Red-Light Therapy, having used this on his face to try to remove blemishes, with great results. They then started researching other benefits of Red Light Therapy & were blown away by what they found could be achieved with Photobiomodulation & these magical LED lights. This led the twins to want to provide these healing therapies to their local community at affordable prices, having friends that desperately need these services. Typically, Red light therapy prices cost between £40-70 per 15-20-minute session, out-pricing most working class people & is found mostly in private spas or expensive treatment clinics. It’s the twins' aim to make these treatments much more affordable within the local community.

A little about Julie & Richard. The twins grew up in the Brecknock / Holloway area, so wanted to open shop locally, where they have a close connection to the local community in a big way, so when they found the Brecknock Road site, they knew it was right. Both twins have big hearts & are always helping friends & loved ones, so opening a much needed clinic for Photobiomodulation (Red Light Therapy) within their local community was right up their street.

Julie will be running the shop front of house. She is quite literally everybody’s favorite Aunty & currently a carer for the elderly. Having worked with elderly patients with Dementia & other age related ailments for many years, this caring nature has been prevalent throughout Julie’s life, as she’s always there to help those in need around her. Julie also works as the front of house face, on the door of Richard’s Superfreq parties & events & is well known, respected & admired throughout London’s dance music community.

Richard is widely known as the international House & Techno music DJ & music producer Mr.C & was front man of the 90s pop group The Shamen. Co-owner of the former legendary London night club The End & AKA, Richard DJs at the best festivals & night clubs the world over & runs his Superfreq Record label, which continues to release music & throw boutique specialist events. Richard also has a fascination for meditation, creative visualisation, Human development & psychology; & started practicing meditation way back in 1983 as a teenager, This has led him down the rabbit hole of Human Consciousness & finding out how Humans & the Universe work. It’s practicing Meditation & the Law Of Attraction that has been instrumental in all of Richard’s success as a DJ & musician. In 2011 Richard started teaching meditation, life coaching & doing psychological work with his clients, sharing the secrets of his success hosting workshops in London, Leeds, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Miami, Denver, Sydney & beyond.

Julie & Richard are now thrilled to be able to bring their knowledge, expertise & vital treatments to the local community in which they grew up.
